Live Cell Phone to Web Streaming
File this one under cool phone tricks. I found an application for my phone that streams the camera from my phone live to the web.
The program is http://qik.com/ the phones it works with are listed here.
I’m embedding my live camera feed below. I won’t have it on all the time, but if you call me I’ll turn it on. Just enter YOUR name and YOUR phone number below
Live Camera Feed:
The embedded video player shows the last stream I put up if it is not live. Oh yeah I almost forgot to tell you, cell phone cameras are super poor quality, but you didn’t need me to tell you that.

YouVersion – Online Bible
There are aplenty online bibles, in fact there are so many it can become a little overwhelming to find a good one. I have been using Bible Gateway, it has good search and is fast. Bible Gateway also powers the Verse of the Day on the side bar here at wanat.net (with steaming audio of it being read to you, you know, if you can’t read a whole verse.)
But what if you have an iPhone, Blackberry, mobile browser, or want some Web 2.0 goodness. Enter YouVersion.com.

- That’s right YouVersion has:
- AJAX
- User Feedback & Commenting
- Email & Links Tools
- A Personal Journal
Check the iPhone version or BlackBerry if that’s how you roll. Maybe you are stuck with a lamer phone (cough – like me), but still desire the divine good book on the go you can visit m.youversion.com from your mobile browser.
Less mainstream are the Google Gadget and Wordpress plugin. I’ve installed the plugin here so I can link verses, for example John 3:21John 3:21 (WEB)Close

Give Me Your Eyes
Found this video through one of my RSS feeds. I’m going to use it to highlight our upcoming Africa Missions trip (First Wednesday of November).
The song has a powerful missions message, and the video a good attention keeper. I think the video is good, a bit cliché, but helps people visualize the message.
